Office furniture chairs come in all sizes, shapes, designs and materials. And though desks have been around for hundreds of years, in one form or another, the modern office chair was first used in the mid to late 1800's. The closest thing to a modern office chair was used by Charles Darwin. He put wheels on his chair so that he could move around easier when reaching for his specimens.
