BlueDiesel Pty Ltd is a Western Australian company formed to produce biodiesel using novel technology developed by the company.
At the heart of the BlueDiesel process is a high intensity reactor, in which production of biodiesel takes place many times faster than in conventional biodiesel production equipment. High conversion efficiency, reduced power consumption and lower capital requirements on a small footprint distinguish the plants which use the BlueDiesel process compared to conventional biodiesel technologies.
The company has designed and constructed a pilot plant with an output capacity of 1 million litres per annum and has tested the process on a number of feedstocks including canola oil, mustard oil, coconut oil, palm oil and tallow.
