My name is Brett Ross. I am a Canadian stone carver and I am promoting a line of Celtic Crosses. They are carved from the exquisitely colourful, Brazilian soapstone. Each carving is unique in it's own grain, no two carvings are the same. They are all hand made by myself and are of high quality. I have two designs that I am currently selling. This quality hand carved stone is made from the finest soapstone that originates from Brazil. Quarried like granite or marble, it is primarily made of magnesite, dolomite, chlorite, talc and iron(which creates magnificent coloration). Soapstone(Steatite) formed around 300-400 years ago from a molten state deep within the earth(making it a limited resource). Soapstone is an amazingly beautiful rock with a rich geological history.
From this stone I carve the ancient tradtion of the celtic cross. Giving strong feelings of heretical and earthly roots. Each carving is made with care and is unique in it's own colouration and grain. Enjoy with your family and friends for year to come
