Xiangtan Electric Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (short for XEMC). was founded in 1936. After nearly seven decades of development, we have been the domestic manufacturer and R&D base for the significant technology and equipment of China and a pointed defense equipment manufacturing base. Our company enjoys the reputation of "Cradle of Chinese Machinery and Electric Products". More than 1000 new items have been developed successively, among which 100 items are the newest products in China, such as the first ship use electric propulsion equipment, the first complete set of metro vehicle motor and electric equipment, the first set of 108t motorized wheel dump truck and the first urban light rail vehicle. In recent years, XEMC has concentrated on three core technologies - electric traction technologies, ship electric propulsion technology and motor vehicle manufacture technology to forge some key products such as electric machines, pumps, heavy equipment, urban mass transit vehicles, wind power generator electric lifts and ceramic machinery, achieving sustained, rapid, healthy and stable development. The total invested assets of the corporation sums up to 6.9 billion yuan (RMB). We have 5 branch companies, 6 full-funded subsidiary companies, 9 holding companies and 9 invested companies.

Our company was listed publicly on July, 18th, 2002 by issuing stocks of -XD Shares - 75 million A shares in SSEA. We are the first stock listed Corporation in Hunan Province. In November 2006, our Corporation Refinance collected a total fund of 331.2 million yuan.
