Chongqing Municipality Qijiang Gear Auto Parts Co., Ltd.(CQAP),is located in Qijiang county Chongqing municipality of China as one of the mainstay enterprises of China Western Gear City. CQAP initially represented one of the wholly-owned subsidiaries of Qijiang Gear Works (QGW), which was one of the large mainstay enterprises of auto gear and was the leader of the bus transmission in China with over 80 years history. In June 2000, CQAP was officially established by QGW and some of its wholly-owned subsidiaries.
In 2007, CQAP became one of the wholly-owned subsidiaries of a listed company Chongqing Machinery & Electric Co., Ltd.(CQME) after being integrated by Chongqing Machinery &Electric Holding (group) Company (CQMEG). In May 2009,the new CQAP was founded compose of the previous CQAP and the other four companies under CQME according to the strategic planning of CQME.
Nowadays, CQAP covers an area of 100200 square meters including 52830 square meters for buildings. Meanwhile, there are 1490 employees , among which, 188 administrative staff and 75 engineering technical personnel.
The original value of fixed general assets is 88.069 million RMB and the net value of fixed assets is 41.541 million RMB. The existing annual production capacity reaches 120,000 units of varied auto transmission parts , 50,000 sets of Steyr bevel gears, 20,000 units of varied light and medium duty auto transmissions, 20,000 tons of varied forging stock and 5,000 tons of varied casting blank of auto parts.
CQAP has registered ISO9001:2000 in January 2006, ISO/TS16949:2002 in June 2009 and Safe Quality Standardization for Machinery Manufacturing Enterprise in January 2008.
Fully adopting and using the advanced transmission technology of ZF company in Germany, CQAP has successively released a series of light and medium duty auto transmissions, such as QJ305,QJ315,QJ405,QJ505,QJ605,QJ705,QJ406,QJ506,QJ706 and, particularly, the shaft angle transmission ZJ505, which was awarded the State Patent Office utility model patent certificate in May 2010 and was regarded as one of the key R & D results in recent years.
The transmissions in CQAP rank international advanced level of similar products due to the novel design and compact structure. There are not only satisfactory performances with higher torque capacity,longer service life,easier operation and more flexible gear shift, but also competitive prices compared with national similar products. These transmissions have become the first choice of Chinese bus manufacturers. Up to now, CQAP`s transmissions have being supplied to many famous enterprises like Chongqing Hengtong Bus Co., Ltd., Zhengzhou Yutong Bus Co., Ltd.,Xiamen Golden Dragon Bus Co., Ltd,Dongfeng Xiangfan Touring Car Co., Ltd. and Dongfeng Bus Chasiss Co,. Ltd. At the same time, some transmissions together with the buses and trucks as a whole have been exported to Africa and Southeast Asia.
On top of this, CQAP supplies many types of auto parts to Qijiang Gear Transmission Co., Ltd., Saic-Iveco Hongyan Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd. and Shaanxi Hande Axle Co., Ltd in long term. Various forging and casting blank and finished products of transmission gears, shafts and Steyr bevel gears with high quality are very popular among the customers.
