The company is formed in the year 2002 under the necessity to create an aggregated value on coal, to better improve the market conditions and the product economy. Its constitution is consolidated in the year 2004 by a young Colombian working team; it is in this year that the commercial and industrial activities are started.
The company has several exploitation licenses 240 km north of Bogota, allowing our company to exploit low, mid and high volatile metallurgical coals, as well as steam coal.

ANDINA Ltd is currently involved into a coal washing plant construction project, to reduce ashes content on coal to 8% and sulphur content to 0,9 to 1,1%. In this manner, using this coal washing plant, we pretend to achieve the coke and coal production projected to 2006 and 2007 on a high quality basis.
