The CNC facility is now engaged in manufacturing components for the aerospace, automobile, electrical and electronic industries, besides producing dies, moulds, cores and cavities and undertaking modeling, detailing and programming assignments. The components manufactured undergo rigorous inspection, after all, a core specially of the company. Engineering design and process development at Unique are carried out using advanced software, to ensure consistent quality standards and cost-effective manufacture.
Unique made its debut in 1985, with the marketing of high precision measuring instruments, imported from some of the world's best known manufacturers to customers all over India . Later, to cater to the metrology needs of companies, which cannot invest on expensive testing equipment, Unique set up a state of the art metrology laboratory in Bangalore in 1997. The Laboratory was the first in the private sector in India to obtain certification from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories, as per the requirements of international standard ISO/IEC 17025, Unique has got ISO 9001 :2001 certifications through BVQT (Certificate under preparation).
