VILLA srl -VILLA HOME COLLECTION is a company founded towards the end of the 1920s as an "artistic workshop" and across successive generations has experienced different productive phases ranging from the manufacture of period pieces to the creation of elegant furniture characterized by a particular rounded line, a clean design and Nordic inspiration.
A main thread of this business course is the study of sound production by percussion which led to the production of lightweight and durable cylinders, curved with a unique technique that follows the wood grain. A division of the company is still dedicated to this activity and is associated with the music market.
This is a continuous search and found a new spark of life in the early 90s thanks to the arrival of Luca Villa in the company and to some defining meetings: one with the famous Swedish school, Capellagarden, founded by Carl Malmsten on the island of Oland and one with architects and designers from different countries and with different backgrounds but with a common passion for research and experimentation both in technology and style.
And this is how the particular bending technique evolved into other forms, not only round but also square and finally oval, thus allowing new project opportunities and the creation of new objects and furnishings but still with an unmistakable design.
The quality is as important as the design: the quality of materials and finishes, attention to detail and functionality are indeed distinctive features of the product.
In addition, the creative activities, production and distribution are conducted respecting and in compliance with the rules relating to the environment and human health. Over the years, in fact, the company implemented strategic changes to reduce the environmental impact of its production plant and processes.
