Pieffe was founded in 1947 as a manufacturer of technical articles made of rubber for the automotive and motorbike sectors. Thanks to ongoing research to find new production targets Pieffe, in collaboration with the multi-national Du Pont, became the first European producer of cast polyurethane materials.
This new technology has proved highly successful and cast polyurethane has become our main field of production to date. Thanks to our policy of ongoing research into new polyurethane materials, and our highly dynamic and motivated staff Pieffe is a highly dynamic and forward-looking company.
The Technical Office is organized in such a way as to guarantee the presence of a manager on each production line, capable of operating independently and in real time on all the work orders in progress. All the managers however remain under the guidance of the owners that are present within the company.
The Sales Office is based in Fossano. The office is responsible for directing the numerous agents that are to be found throughout Italy and abroad. The main responsibility of this office is not only that of proposing sales terms or new product ranges, but above-all that of providing a highly qualified pre and post sales service.
Given the dynamic nature of Pieffe and its excellent executive and operational base, future forecasts in terms of quality and number cannot but be optimistic. It is thanks to this strategy that Pieffe is the company with the largest number of employees in its field and one of the leading companies on the Community market.
Aimed at ongoing expansion Pieffe is every year present in the leading national and international trade fairs in order to exhibit its products.
Pieffe is increasingly sensitive to the need to improve its quality-safety-environment system, and the ongoing improvement of production standards cannot but focus on these three aspects which are closely interconnected.
Thanks to highly stringent in-house checks it is possible to assure excellent quality levels of the end products.
In the same way all the aspects relating to worker and workplace safety represent the true heart of the management policy.
Pieffe is the only company in Italy in the field of cast polyurethanes to have a machine store of 10 automatic casting machines as well as numerous stations for mixing inside semi-automatic reactors. These plants are constantly renewed and replaced in rotation with the latest technological finds in the field. In relation to this Pieffe has, since its beginnings, always aimed to use the best polyurethane casting plant manufacturers present on the international market.
As well as the casting lines there are also:
-An elastomer compression and injection moulding line with a series of automatic presses;
-A line for the pickling, blasting and priming of pre- vulcanizing inserts;
-A roller coating line with a saturated steam centralized system;
-Mechanical department with tangential and parallel finish grinding;
-A mechanical and chemical-physical testing laboratory;
-Raw material storage warehouse;
-Finished product warehouse;
-Automated small and medium sized mould warehouse;
-Large sized mould warehouse.
Pieffe currently has a customer base of no less than 2,000 companies in Italy and the rest of the world. 20% of its total production is exported.
