Among the market leaders since 1962, we produce refrigerated body cells for the transport and distribution of ice-creams, frozen and fresh foods.
In the Borgo San Martino factory, only a few Km distance from Casale Monferrato, we produce body cells using an industrial process that enhances the handicraft care, in order to meet the customer's demands.

Moreover we produce double-temperature body cells for the combined transport of both fresh and frozen foods, and also multi-temperature ones creating three different rooms - fresh, frozen and isothermal - in the same van.

The versatility of our product and the vast experience developed through the years, have allowed us to acquire important and diversified customers, that go from the little distributor to the big industry or ice-cream multinational, or home delivery service.

Nowadays COFI body cells are at work from Canada to Russia, from Iceland to South Africa.

The experience acquired from the continuous contact with all world users, allowed Cofi to develop and constantly improve the insulation and refrigeration techniques, as well as the use of plastic materials, fibreglass, polyurethane, carbon fibre, aluminium and steel.

The refrigerated body cells are available with side doors or even in the version with double rear door, to load goods by using pallets or roll-containers.

Dimensions go from the small 2 meters body cells, for vans and trucks that service in crowded town centres, up to the maximal length of 10 meters, capable of transporting large quantities over long distances.

Among the distinctive characteristics of our products, there's the possibility to have the panels at an increased thickness of 130 mm, which allows the possibility to build side doors model "AVIO", without heaters, without transformer and with double rubbers, able to prevent ice formation.

These characteristics assure better temperature conservation, a better insulation coefficient and overall a remarkable daily energetic saving that becomes a very interesting factor if considered on annual basis.

Another innovative solution is the "Ultralight" body cell version - without subframe, with self-supporting floor and wheel boxes inside the van - particularly appreciated by those customers who need a higher payload than the traditional one.

The body cell cooling is done using an eutectic system (in a position to guarantee an adequate temperature all day long), connected to a powerful, silent and easily reachable refrigerating implant.

For many years now, in order to make our product always more efficient and, Cofi proposes body cells with remote units, that are supplied on a special trolley, which remains in the stores and can be linked in the evening; in this way it's possible to decrease the weight on board and to increase the vehicle payload while assuring on-site charge up facilities.

At the end of the productive process all COFI body cells are submitted to rigorous inspections that guarantee their absolute adherence to strict international standards and to the ATP rules.

Moreover the "Ultralight" body cells have been tested at the special test truck facility in Ulm, Germany, where vehicles are submitted to every kind of stress.
