The surfaces present a strong resistance to compression and wear, very little porosity and anti-freezing properties. These characteristics are the fruit of a scrupulous and diligent production process, during which the material is subjected to a prolonged baking (26-34 hours) at an extremely high temperature (1250C) , up to inducing the commencement of vitrification.
