MEGM Corporation was established in April 2013, and as the company name stands for Micro Electric Generation & Mobility, we design micro electric vehicles, accompanying Lithium-Ion batteries, power generation and storage systems. Also we are working on the development of micro hydro-power generation system jointly with Meiwa Electric Motors.
Currently our main business is designing, and distributing electric motorcycles. Our main product is an electric business scooter called MELMO (Micro Electric Mobility) which has been developed and manufactured mainly for the newspaper delivery use in Japan.
We also work as an exclusive export agent for MEIWA MFG. CO., LTD. famous for its product brand "MEIWA ELECTRIC MOTORS"
Currently our main line is SR motors for micro EV's, but we also handle industrial power circuit breaker motors, universal motors, and reduction gears for various power equipment.
MEIWA MFG. CO., LTD. was founded in Fukuoka with technical skills inherited from Mitsubishi Electric and with more than 50 years of experience, they develop and manufacture customized high quality motors for various applications at competitive price even with small lot and short lead time.
Utilizing the fully integrated in-house production facilities in their factories (motor shaft lathing, gear machining, heat and abrasive treatment, motor wiring and varnish treatment and aluminum die casting of frames), they produce DC and universal motors ranging from 100W to 1kW output power for heavy load equipment such as power tools, industrial power circuit breakers and various pumps, integrated with or without reduction gears.
They have also been working on SR (Switched Reluctance) motor since 2001, which uses no rare earth material or magnet, and have developed premium-efficient SR motor jointly with Fukuoka Institute of Technology and government project.
They have just begun shipping SR motor and drive system for micro EV, e-scooter and e-trikes.
