Since our establishment in the first year of the Bunsei era (1818), Irokuen Tea has been Kyoto's traditional tea shop for 196 years. When it comes to our products, although we focus on high quality and discerning selection rather than mass produced items, our merchandise covers a wide price range. As for our mountain-grown teas, we do not limit ourselves to Uji tea;we also carry the best tea leaves from places like Chiran (Kagoshima Prefecture) and Yame (Fukuoka Prefecture.)
One of our company's strengths lies in the combination of our traditional tea blending techniques and our strong connections with tea farmers, wholesalers, and the regions where the tea is grown, which together enhance the taste (quality) of the tea.
