Chemrez uses cutting-edge technology in the production of a wide range of unsaturated polyester resins (UPR). Polycol resins are used extensively in the composite industry. Chemrez carefully engineers Polycol variants to meet the varied performance requirements of customers end products. They find application in high performance fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) products like windmills, boats, pipes, water tanks and bath tubs.
Chemrez uses green chemistry to produce innovative UPRs tailor-made to meet every application. Value-added properties such as Extended Shelf-Life (ESL), Low Styrene Emission (EMS), Rapid Cure (RC) and Vapor Phase Inhibition (VPI) may be incorporated as needed.
Chemrez implements an Integrated Management System to ensure the highest standard for product quality and care for principals, customers, employees, and the environment. This incorporates ISO 9001,ISO 14 001,ISO 1725 and OHSAS 18001. The company also implements the guidelines of Responsible Care and espouses the principles of Green Chemistry.

ORTHOPHTHALIC POLYESTERS
- Polycol Ortho Orthophthalic UPRs are general purpose polyester resins with fast curing time, good mechanical properties, and tack-free finish. They are specifically formulated for FRP applications, figurine casting, stone craft, wood lamination, skylight, cultured marble, and others.
HIGH MOLECULAR WEIGHT POLYESTERS - Polycol Hybrid High Molecular Weight UPRs are improved general purpose resins with mechanical and chemical properties approaching those of isophthalic resins but are more cost effective. They are highly reactive, fact curing, and can be customized to suit customers exacting needs. They are ideal for use in the manufacture of industrial fiberglass and castings.
ISOPHTHALIC POLYESTERS
- Polycol Iso Isophthalic UPRs are fast curing polyester resins with excellent chemical and mechanical properties. They are unwaxed, unpromoted, and have low viscosities. They are suitable for the manufacture industrial fiberglass pipes, storage tanks, and gel coats.
WATER EXTENDABLE POLYESTERS
- Polycol Aqua Water Extendable UPRs are environment-friendly resins using proprietary technology. They can be mixed with tap water in place of styrene to reduce resin solids, thus, dramatically reducing overall costs. They are stable, chemically balanced, and suited for casting as well as fiber reinforced plastics (FRP).
