History:
1923-a romania-austrian company, named farola was founded for manufacturing cooper wire, copper plates and cables for railway engines
1935-the first romanian metallurgical company metrom came into being 1938-the serial production for copper and copper alloy sheets, strips, bars, profiles and deep drawing tubes starts up
1946-copper and copper alloys pipes production was developed
1948-the companies farola and metrom merged togeder under the name of metrom At the present metromcompany is going through a period of transition in the market economy and takes over its strategy to reorganize and to develop itself by creating a flexible sistem managerial speaking.
The quality is a characteristic of our products, so we obtain in 1994 ceritficate no 12.100.8700 from certification body of tuv management service gmbh, the certifcate which confirm the fulfilment of requirement according to din en ISO 9001:1994
