Natural resources are concerned with the former and the emulsifier or surfactant technologies are concerned with the latter, which were developed mainly by the raw material companies. Since most of all cosmetic companies use the same emulsifiers in their cosmetics the difference in the quality of the cosmetics made by different companies is not significant.
Until now nanoemulsion cosmetics were made by the same emulsifiers of phospholipids and by the same manufacturing method of using a high-pressure homogenizer, which is unproductive and has serious limitations in oil phase quantity in nanoemulsions, resulting in low viscosity products only.
