MacroImpact is a privately held company founded in January 2001 by a group of highly credentialed management and engineering talents dedicated to developing cutting-edge system storage infrastructure software. Headquartered in Seoul, Korea, MacroImpact is the first company to pioneer a state-of-the art Cluster Data Sharing for the Storage Area Network (SAN) that optimizes performance and scalability in highly available, mission-critical environments. SANique Cluster Data Sharing was introduced in the third quarter of 2002, which includes two key integrated functions that are critical in supporting customers and partners: Cluster File System (CFS) and Cluster Volume Manager (CVM).

As Internet and intranet become the center of every aspect of business and personal activities, information is digitalized and exchanged on-line. Therefore, computing environment is changing from server centric to storage centric since information is the most important asset of the company. Storage Area Network was introduced and evolved to meet the requirement of storage centric infrastructure. MacroImpact focused on Storage Infrastructure Software on the firm belief that SAN would lead the storage market and then cluster file system and cluster volume manager would be the must-to-have software for SAN clusters. SANique Cluster Data Sharing is the leading storage solution optimized for mission-critical and enterprise SAN-based cluster environments. Applications for high performance file server clusters include: cluster DBMS, streaming audio/video server clusters, multimedia content delivery and editing, digital graphic rendering systems, web server cluster, messaging solutions including mail servers and call center systems, and parallel computing for scientific applications.

We finished developing Linux version SANique Cluster Data Sharing and started shipping in July, 2002. SANique Cluster Data Sharing Solaris version was released in December, 2002. We broadened our products line by developing HA cluster solution SANique FailWatch, data replication solution SANique Micro Data Protector (mDP) and backup solution SANique Vault to complete product line-up for business continuity. We also developed SANique Scalable File System (SFS), distributed file system for LAN-based large scale cluster servers and had warm welcome from cloud computing market.

We are working with a number of reputable business partners in distributorship and OEM areas in Korea such as Samsung, KT, SK Telecom to name a few. We have also contacted several US companies whom we met at the trade shows and numerous workshops for potential business partnership. We are planning to incorporate in US in the very near future since US is the biggest software market in the world accounting for more than 50% of the total market. We will continue to develop the cutting edge software for the Storage Infrastructure market to achieve our vision to be the world No. 1 solution provider in Storage Infrastructure market.
