CULTURAL HERITAGE
The enchanted shirts in the garment collection at Topkapi Palace are among the most significant cultural heritage to reach present day.
These shirts are unique works of art embellished with hadiths and verses of the Kuran, making use of the arts of calligraphy and ornamentation. They were worn by Ottoman Sultans on their way to war for victory, for recovery from diseases and for protection against the evil eye.
My designs, inspired by the enchanted shirts of the Ottoman Sultans, are entirely hand-made.
