P & P Technology Ltd is a specialised UK-based manufacturer of electromagnetic and radio frequency interference screening & shielding products. P & P was formed in 1989 by a small group of engineers, each with many years experience in the design and production of EMC shielding components and is now one of Europe's leading manufacturers of EMI and RFI shielding products and has developed a wide range of products and a diverse portfolio clients across a variety of industries.At their factory in Braintree, Essex, they produce an extensive range of shielded windows, vents, gaskets, contact finger strips, conductive foil tapes and conductive adhesives, fabricated from a wide range of materials, that can be completely customised for the specific needs of individual customers. They provide a fast and efficient response to all your shielding problems and offer a full service, ranging from design consultancy through to prototype and full production, to help their customers ensure they achieve compliance with the EC Directive on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) 2004/108/EC, which became effective in January 2005. They will work with you from the beginning of your project to ensure they supply you with the most cost-efficient solution to your shielding problems. They are happy to provide advice on the design and application of shielding materials and will visit potential customers to discuss the shielding requirements for specific projects. Low-cost design samples can be provided to help with the design process and the building of prototypes. They understand that discretion is paramount and are used to working under NDAs.In 1991 P & P Technology was acquired by Onyx Holdings Ltd, an investment organisation that controls and manages a group of companies which are highly specialist in the design, manufacture and sale of electronic components and assemblies. Having a parent company involved in other areas of electronic design and manufacture proved beneficial, both to P & P Technology and to their customers, giving them increased resources technical support to enable further expansion. Through Onyx they also benefit from national coverage of the group's field sales engineers located around the UK and in the US. They also have a worldwide network of agents, which provides them with representation elsewhere.Over the years P & P has constantly invested in new equipment and the latest technology, including recently installing a new window mesh plant and acquiring a custom-built CNC drilling machine to ensure high accuracy when manufacturing their range of honeycomb attenuation vents. In 1996 the factory area was doubled in size to allow for increased production to meet heavy demand and in 2001 mezzanine floors were installed to further increase the production and office areas.P & P Technology operates a comprehensive Quality Management System and is an ISO9001:2000 registered manufacturer.In 2007 P & P Technology opened a factory in China and Onyx Electronics (Suzhou) Co Ltd was formed to manufacture EMI/RF shielding and screening products for their Asian customers. This new venture enables them to offer customers manufacturing their products in the Far East a much quicker, more efficient and cost-effective service.
