K A Tanking Slurry is a waterproofing crystalline product that can be very easily applied to any wet,porous cementatious substrate.It has certifications and guarantees that few water proofers can offer.It is the only tanking slurry to be granted the LABC certificate and therefore can be used on projects requiring local authority building control approval.We are rapidly gaining market share in this very large area of business from producers such as Vandex,Thoroseal,Fosroc,Sika and Wykamol due to its quality,versatility and competitive price.The product will water proof brick,block,stone and concrete and is being specified over the traditional membrane systems.

K A is WRAS certified and UKAS tested to BS:6920 so it can be used for human and animal drinking water systems,reservoirs,swimming pools,fish ponds etc.

K A Tanking Slurry works on a crystalline system,where silica is absorbed into capillaries and fissures in the substrates of structures.Thousands of particles of silica penetrate up to 50mm and adhere to the capillaries in the structure permanently.It can be used both internally and externally.It can be left as an external render or decorated upon.Within 48 hours wallpaper,tiles,paint or carpet can be used upon the surface.

After application the silica grows into crystals by absorbing moisture and ingressing into the build.When no moisture is present the crystals lay dormant,when moisture appears the crystals reactivate and absorb it which keeps mortars and structures completely dry.This is unlike a standard water proofer which merely adheres to the substrate,therefore no guarantees can be given.If the surface breaks due to frost,vibration etc. then the waterproofing will fail.

With K A Tanking Slurry the more moisture available the better it works.Under a microscope the crystals are shown to grow into a water absorbing sheet of glass where it will last for the lifetime of the structure.
