La cantina imports (gb) ltd trading as la cantina deli was created in 2004 to provide the best quality, authentic, italian produce at affordable prices by husband and wife team gordon and lucia cooper.

Gordon has lived all of his life in England. Born in woking, surrey he is the only son of an English mother and italian father. He has travelled extensively throughout Italy and has sampled many of the varied delicacies the country has to offer.

Lucia was born in redhill, surrey from italian mother & father. She has 2 older brothers and at the age of 4 moved with her family back to Italy. She lived in the abbruzzo region for 14 years before settling in this country for the second time.

Together they have a wealth of knowledge and have both been heavily influenced by the delicatessens and coffee shops in milan, Venice, naples and beyond. Having enjoyed and studied these hubs of italian society they are committed to recreating an all in one italian experience here, in the United Kingdom.
