Vapor Lite Laboratories is a full service Electronic Glassblowing Facility started in 1960 by H. Paul Duffany. A retired engineer from Raython, Mr. Duffany brought his expertise and engineering knowledge to the Vacuum Tube arena. Shortly after starting Vapor Lite Labs Mr Duffany did in fact start production of the first Microwave "cooker tubes" used in the first Amana Microwave Ovens in the 1960's and 70's. At this time VLL specializes in fabrication and design of Vacuum Tube, Glass Lamp components, PID lamps, UV source lamps, UV detector lamps as well as Optical domes, bulbs and envelopes. Multi-pin feed thru pressed stems used in vacuum tube / lamp bases and leads such as: Glass / Dumet wire, Glass / Tungesten, Glass / SS, Glass / Kovar. Custom glass blown, pressed, cut and fabricated components and glass to metal seals. Optical quality pressed or hand formed glass components and finished products to customer design. We also provide design and application engineering services, tooling and metal shop fabrication to support our efforts in providing our customers a "one stop shop". Our customer list has included Raytheon, E. G.& G. , Perkin Elmer, QSA Global, Armtec, Meggit Avionics, Vibro-Meter Inc. , ASA Global.
