Sonix IV began manufacturing ultrasonic cleaning systems in Los Angeles, California in 1972.

We started primarily as a manufacturer of ultrasonic cleaning systems for other equipment manufacturers. Today we still manufacture a wide selection of ultrasonic cleaning systems under other trade names, but the majority of our products proudly bear the Sonix IV logo.

Our products range from the Benchtop Ultrasonic Cleaners to the heavy duty TF-Series Industrial Tank Systems. We also manufacture several cleaning accessory items that facilitate cleaning processes, and our SIV-Chem line of ultrasonic cleaning solutions.

Not only does ultrasonic cleaning provide a mechanism to blast away the most tenacious soils even when hidden in the smallest crevices, but it also improves the chemical efficiency of cleaning solutions.

The most obvious enhancement of chemical efficiency that acoustic cavitation provides is by violently propelling the solution to all surfaces of a part causing soils to dislodge upon impact. Acoustic cavitation also accelerates the rate at which soils dissolve by intimately mixing the cleaning solution with the contaminants and attacking the molecular cement by which soils attach themselves to a parts surface. The microjet effect from acoustic cavitation prevents the formation of a neutral film on parts which is common with other types of cleaning processes, and impedes cleaning results. Acoustic cavitation also raises the temperature of the liquid which increases the rate of chemical activity of the cleaning solution.
