Coconut Coir is used in the horticulture industry and is used as an Eco- Friendly growing medium and a soil conditioner. Due to the fibrous nature of the coconut husk the coir particles are able to retain almost 9 times their weight in water. Not only is this beneficial to the grower, but coir peat/ coco peat also provides more aeration for the plant roots giving rise to greater oxygen for the plant.
