Based in San Francisco, CA, Market Development International (MDI Inc.) is a North American forest product exporting company, serving primarily China and South East Asian countries. W have historically exported both hardwood and softwood logs and lumber from the Appalachian states as well as West coast states through Alaska. Last year we purchased around 500x40 containers worth of hardwood KD lumber and veneers logs in addition to around 200x40 of softwood lumber (primarily in ponderosa pine 1x4 through 1x12). We are currently expanding our business to include break bulk chartering for log exports as well as container shipment for wood chips.
