LUX Glass Art

The LUX Glass Art line was found by a well known European artist, Uri Katsf in 1994. With his love for Russian winters, he started to hand paint candlesticks and glass candelholders to the theme of Russian New Years celebrations and winter settings. With the help of his students, he was able to bring the production level to over a hundred thousand pieces by 2003. These candlesticks are sold in retail stores in various European countries including, Germany, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine, France, and Estonia. The same year Mr. Katsf was able to bring a new product line to his company, Decorative Flower Vases.
The extensive process of making these lines consists of six steps.
We receive our special made glass from our partners and put it thrugh an extansive cleaning process in which we wash it in special solution to get rid of all the manufecturing oils and any inperfactions it might have.
Then we apply the first coat of paint for background and the main color of the piece. We use top grade German paints manufecutred by Diegel. View Certificates.
Upon completion of the second step, the piece is placed into a furnace and heated at 120 to 150 degress Celsius. The heat softens the glass and the paint and allows the two to fuse together and become as one.
In the fourth step of this process, the artists paint the induvidualized design on the item by hand. This makes the items uniqe and addes each artist personel touch. All of our pieces are completely uniquie, even pieces with the same design and colos will have a vaeriation to them.
In the five step, we put the designed item into the kill for the second time. This fuses the second layer of paint with the initial layer and the glass. Making our vases completely safe for washing by hand as well as in dishwasher.
After the pieces has cooled off, it is barcoded and induvidualized packeged and is ready to ship.
What started out as a hobby, turned into a great business! Now the company uses the latest technology combined with the top quality German paint and mostly importantly the skilled artists with degrees from the Minsk School of Drawing. The company now produces over one hundred fifty thousand items in each of its lines yearly.
