In 1998, Arrow Vision Founders had developed a fingerprint algorihm that was capable of identifiing fingerprint images as quickly andaccurately as any in existence, but they quickly recognized that this software accomplishment was only asmall step toward practical applications.
In early 2002, ArrowVision introduced their first generation microprocessor lock with a streamlined fingerprint algorithm embedded into the firmware.It was astep in the right direction, advancing the state of fingerprint identification into a standalone lock that did not require massive hardware or computers for programming.
