Infopoint was established in 1994 by Aidan Joyce and Michael McLoughlin. The company specialized initially in the design and delivery of Self-Service Software. That is - software which allows people to conduct a simple transaction with a machine for the purchase of a product or service. Examples of Self-Service Software include: Digital Music Juke Boxes, Airline Ticketing, Photo Passport Machines, and Digital Photo Kiosks such as Infopoint's Total Photo Center.

Important Company Milestones include:
1994: Company established by Aidan Joyce & Michael McLoughlin

1994: Infopoint was responsible for the installation of the first 2000 kiosks into the Irish market.

1996 to 1998: Closed significant contracts with Bank of Ireland, Bank of Scotland, AIB (Allied Irish Bank), Halifax (UK), Britania (UK), Woolwich (UK), Debenhams (UK), Superquinn (Ireland), London Underground (UK), Siemens, NCR, ESB (Irish Electrical Supply Board), ICS Building Society (Ireland), and Yapi Kredi Bank (Turkey)

1998: Appointed Philip Mantle (Former NCR UK CEO) as Non Executive Chairman

1999: Made strategic decision to investigate applications of Self-Service technology and commenced research on initial software development for Infopoint Total Photo Center

2000: Started development of Infopoint XPress Film Check-In

2001: Infopoint launched Infopoint XPress Film Check-In, a Self-Service Photo Drop-Off solution that provided consumers with Self-Service drop-off for Analog Film and Digital Photos

2001: Started development of Infopoint XPress Digital

2002: Commenced formal pilot with Albertsons, one of the world's largest food and drug retailers

2002: Albertsons awarded Infopoint a contract for Enterprise Wide Licenses of the Infopoint XPress Film Check-in and Infopoint XPress Digital products

2003: Established Infopoint Romania SRL as the main office for software development

2004: Released the completely integrated Hardware and Software Solutions for the Infopoint Total Photo Center

2004: Completed major purchase order with Albertsons for the Infopoint Total Photo Center

2005: Established US headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona
