Export of fish and processed fish products from the Cameroon Far East is hampered by the fact that in many cases the product does not comply with import requirements for food of the whole Community. The introduction of the food safety system in the fish industry chain is considered to be necessary in order to get company in the chain on an acceptable food safety and quality level, which would make them feasible as partners whole world fish processors and /or importers.
