Yash mehra - started in the field of textiles in the year 1984 with my first job at amc(associated merchandising corporation,

Served here until 1989. As the merchandiser in this

Stores such as - target, mervyns, bradlees, bloomingdales in the u. S.
Besides these I was incharge for stores as harrods, house of fraser in u. K, galleries laffayette, monoprix in France and hertie in Germany.
Subsequently worked for M/S hayim & co, new York
Based company as the director of operations in India
Until 1993. The job involved me in overseeing entire
Merchandising and quality control functions for them.
1993 till present - started my own company nexus
Buying house, new Delhi, to represent overseas clients
In India and assist them in procuring textile made-ups
(soft furnishings). This company basically functions
Just as a buyer would open his own office here and
Look after his product right from initial sampling
Stage where samples are tailor made to the buyers
Requirements for approvals, all the way through sales
Samples, bulk productions which are checked at every
Stage from yarn dyeing to weaving, cutting and sewing,
Finishing and packing, consolidations at port for
Optimum freight rates and finally shipping on time.
To make all this happen, we are geared up with a team of 12 people,6 of
Whom are technical graduates from textiles institutes only focussing on
Quality control.3 take care of documentation/shipping,2 merchandising
And one finance.
Our office is located in the heart of new Delhi, India and is fully
Furnished/equipped with all office equipments/space for buyer/seller meetings and conferences.
