The firm that is now Henry Butcher International was established in 1877 in London. Henry George Butcher, the founder of Henry Butcher & Co., was born in the small town of Leighton Buzzard north of London; he died in 1939. Since the firm was founded, the Henry Butcher name has been synonymous with high quality auction and valuation services to industry - reflected in its status as market leader throughout the whole of the last century. The business is now part of the GoIndustry Group, one of the world's largest industrial asset sales and service organisations. With over 240 employees in 14 countries speaking 21 languages, the GoIndustry Group is active in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North and South America.

Henry Butcher International Ltd. is itself organised into three operational divisions: Consulting, Disposal and Far East. For the new millennium, our core activities remain related to the disposal and valuation of plants, machinery and equipment of all types.
