Army Welfare Trust was established in 1971 under societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, with an aim to generate funds for the welfare and rehabilitation of the orphans and widows of shaheeds, disabled and retired personal of Pakistan Army as well as dependants.

Askari Pharmaceuticals is a project of AWT that went into operation as Pharmaceuticals grade Raw Material Manufacturer in 1996, with state of the art facilities at its plant at Phool Nagar, District Kasur, spread over 46 acres land. It is located 65Km away from Lahore-city of gardens at Head Balloki Road. About 80% of Pakistan Raw Material Market demand of Paracetamol and Aspirin is being met through this plant. Glaxo Smith Kline, Reckitt and Benckiser and Wyeth are its prime clients. Quality Control Laboratory is equipped with modern instrumental facilities, providing infrastructure for strong based research and development activities. In 2003, Askari Pharmaceuticals sets up its plant for secondary manufacturing.
Now an ISO certified and cGMP compliant company Askari Pharmaceuticals is a unique site where Pharmaceuticals Raw Materials (API's) and Finished Pharmaceuticals are produced. Askari Pharmaceuticals has a team of qualified and experienced professionals who are engaged with focused approach, to produce the quality products.
