GRUNTPOLis a private owned limited company estabilished in 1991. The main activities of GRUNTPOL involve agricultural production of cattle, rye and onoin along with ethanol production. Ethanol production includes both raw (crude), and rectificated spirit or vodka. GRUNTPOL has 1,800 hectares of land and has 67 employees. In the region GRUNTPOL is considered as a well estabilished reliable company in the agricultural and ethanol field.GRUNTPOL was originally established on the basis ofgovernmental farm. In 1997 GRUNTPOL was rewarded with HIT 97 for an excellent concept and performance of privatizing of governmental farms. In April 2003 the company obtained the famous consumer award - the Dobre bo polskie certificate, granted to the best products manufactured in Poland for the ZIEMIANSKA vodka. Also in 2003 the company received the ZLOTY KLOS award for the high performance of the produced goods and for the implementation of novel technologies in its agricultural production.The tradition of ethanol production in GRUNTPOL can be traced back to 1834. It is based on crude and rectificated spirit, and vodka. The high quality of the produced ethanol was acknowledged with a certificate from the Polish drug department. This certificate entitles our spirit to be used in the pharmaceutical industry for drug production. In addition, our spirit is sold to the cosmetic industry. Vodka production is partly exported mainly to the USA and UK. Currently the onion is produced on 140 hectares in the amount of 6-7000 tons yearly. A very high quality of peeled and non-peeled onion is currently sold in European markets (mainly Netherlands and Germany). A total of 90% of the produced onion is sold to these countries.
