Phu Pwint San Salt Factory is the biggest salt plant in the whole region of Myanmar and was established in 1998 as a private salt factory with an initial registered capital of US$ 2.2 million. Our head office and factory are located in Thingangyun Township, Yangon, the capital of Myanmar. The dimension of our factory is about 5 acre. The production rate of our factory is around 5000 MT per day. We employ totally 120 employees and our total revenues are around US$ 3.2 million.The factory produces both industrial and cooking salt products such as iodized and non-iodized table salt, iodized and non-iodized cooking salt. Our products are marketed within the country and about 20% is exported mainly to the China as border trade. The iodized table salt and cooking salt is distributed domestically, the whole upper and lower Myanmar, under the brand name of Phu Pwint San. For industrial salt, we mainly supply to the producer of processed food such as dried foods, ice-cream, and in additionally, detergents, water purification and paper pulp.In 2009, our directors decided to invest and extend the business trend in Singapore as a international trading arm of our main core. We, therefore, registered in Singapore as a private limited under the name of Phu Pwint San, in July, 2009. As a Singapore trading arm, we more mainly focused on exporting and importing of agricultural products, construction materials, plastics, cotton, teaks and other wood products to and from all the destinations of the world.
