Lexcode Inc. started in 2002 with three young people in a humble office in Cheon-an, a suburban city, 60 km south of Seoul, Korea. Founder and CEO Young Ham, project manager Mi-soon Park, and Web developer Sumi-Roh are not genius entrepreneurs or engineers. Rather, they are just ordinary people who came up with one thing they can do together and do well: provide the best language service in the country.
In 2013, more than a decade later, they are still working together and basically doing the same job that they started 10 years ago with only a few changes. They are currently working with some 30 employees and are generating 10 times more revenue than they did 10 years ago. People would ask, 'How did you do that?'
While they are strongly focused on their core value, languages and communication, they decide to diversify the services and specialize in them in order to provide more professional and accurate language services. As a result, Legal Translation, Medical Translation, Interpretation, Media Script Translation, Medical Translation, and Technical Translation are born with its own Web pages from 2002 to 2009. During that period, Lexcode Inc. grew over 40% annually for seven consecutive years!
But that success could not have been possible if quality was not there. While many other competitors TALK or THINK about the quality, Lexcode ACTS on it. In 2004, Lexcode Lab is established. It then develops essential tools that will ensure more accurate quality and productive translation. The quality management is certified by ISO 9001 in 2008. Two patent applications were submitted in 2008 and 2009 and approved in 2010.
After relocating to Seoul in 2009, Lexcode Inc. further extended its service to adjacent Asian countries. In 2010, Lexcode Philippines was launched with four men on board. The quality service it has born for the last 10 years is quickly recognized by multinational companies operating in the nation. In 2013, Lexcode Philippines becomes the best and the biggest language service provider in the business center of the country, Makati-City, with 10 extensively trained and dedicated staff.
