WHO ARE WE?
Alpay Ozguc an economics graduate and his long term friend Altug Akalan a maritime college graduate, set out together in 2002, to share a dream. Both desired to open a new path in the jungle of trade, which has followed a historic course from bartering to e-commerce. In 2006 Mr. Akalan chose to set sails in and the men ended their business partnership but kept their friendship.
Alpay Ozguc, Owner and General Manager of Sphere Ltd., was born in 1966 in Ankara. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Istanbul University in 1991. He did his master's degree on International Foreign Trade from 1991 to 1993.
Since his high school days to the present, he has worked with a variety of foreign trade companies; gaining experience in import, export, customs and transportation.
He established the headquarters of Sphere in Istanbul in 2002. Afterward, he expanded abroad and created a business network through the offices he opened in The People's Republic of China (2004), Hong Kong (2010) and Germany (2011). In 2012 he became a member of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK).
