Karakas Kuyumculuk was founded by Yasar KARAKAS in 1968 as a jewellery company.
In 1985, the company whose principal activity was then focused on jewellery founded its first factory in Izmir and later became the leading jewellery wholesaler in the Aegean Region.
In 2005, Karakas Kuyumculuk which had moved into its new factory located in Izmir Gaziemir founded Karakas Atlantis Company and created the Atlantis brand.
In 2006, the Company received ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Certificate. In 2007, it made its debut in the Top 500 companies as announced by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry ranking 490th. By 2010, it ranked the 416th company in the list. During the same year, it ranked 38th within the top 100 companies of Aegean Region as announced by EBSO (Aegean Region Chamber of Industry). In 2011, it ranked 265th in the ISO 500 list and 325th in the ISO 500 list. Our Company, which had began preparations for Public Offering to be performed in 2012 with Auditing reports conducted at the end of the year, made its initial public offering on July 24th, 25th and 26th, 2012. Immediately after this public offering, it expanded its operations by enlarging the factory.
As Karakas Atlantis, we have Wholesale stores in 9 cities throughout Turkey including Izmir, Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya, Alanya, Denizli, Kayseri, Konya and Ordu. We manufacture a wide range of jewelleries including 22 carat, 18 carat, 14 carat, 9 carat and 8 carat gold jewelleries in 2 regions, and offer these products to our customers through 41 marketing points and sales teams. As Karakas Atlantis, we offer our services and products to approx. 75% of Turkey with our wholesale stores and strong marketing teams Our Company is among the top 5 gold marketing companies in Turkey with a weekly manufacturing capacity of approx. 100 kg.
