YORUKSUT THE PRODUCT OF 60 YEARS EXPERIENCE
Pointed to among the few businesses which operate in modern facilities in Mersin, Yoruksut's experience in the industry dates back to the 1950s. In 1992, Ramazan Oz and his brothers who had taken over the profession from Cahit Oz who had been engaged in animal husbandry began to offer the products such as yogurt they manufactured from the milk they produced to Mersin's market. In 1998, following the developing technology, the firm that was the first to manufacture Mersin's cup buttermilk has become Mersin's buttermilk brand in a short time. Yoruksut which carried on its path by increasing production capacity against the ear of consumers and the intensive demand, had founded the factory located in the region of Toroslar.
Adopting campaigns containing ambitious and innovative slogans like ''We'll feed yogurt to all of Turkey'' ''Can your yogurt stand up?'', Yoruksut which has reached a wide group of consumers, had reached the capacity of processing 10 tons of milk per day in the first year. At the end of the second year, the capacity has exceeded 20 tons of milk and the company scored a growth in employment which was increased by 400% and the company began to attract attention as a model among business environment. The way the company has walked within a short time made its founder Mr. Ramazan Oz win the award of 'Entrepreneur Businessman of the Year'.
In addition to Mersin, having a vast distribution network in both Adana and Tarsus, Yoruksut has become the industry leader in the region in its third year and has turned its direction to export that was inevitable for the company. Having managed to take its position among the demanded brands in Iraq with its product and service quality, the company has attached great importance to R&D studies. With the brand name "Milksan" which the company has established within its own structure, the Yoruksut started manufacturing machines for the dairy industry and became Turkey's first maker of "Auto yeast adding machine" by which the company had received an award in innovation competitions. Milksan which is still producing packaging machines is providing its products to the domestic and overseas markets.
THE BRAND WHICH RISES FROM MERSIN TO THE INTERNATIONAL ARENA
Since the year of its establishment, Yoruksut has been emphasizing on training of the technical staff and is carrying on its operations with a staff of 150 people. Investing USD 2.2 million in machinery in 2009, the company has increased its existing throughput to 72 tons and with the study it had achieved on the quality of milk in 2011, it had invested USD 890,000 to build 12 different milk collection/ chilling centers.
Yoruksut as the greatest industry exporters in the Cukurova region, with the performance and the growth it has achieved, the company is attracting the attention of domestic and foreign environments. In 2010, the company has responded positively to the proposal of partnership offered by the Iraqi entrepreneurs and was capable to build and commission a modern milk processing facility with the capacity of 40 tons per day in a short period of 9 months. Yoruksut which currently owns 33% of the shares of the business that it runs successfully with its experienced team is also considering cooperation offers received from various countries. Company is conducting feasibility studies with a team of experts for the offers received from Kazakhstan, Kosovo, the United Kingdom and Qatar proposing new investments.
Moreover, the fact that mild cream cheese, spreadable cheese are preferred by consumers especially in Middle East, the project that was launched with the support of Cukurova Development Agency has been completed in 2013. Thus, by giving start to production line of mild cream cheese, the company has managed to offer new and different tastes to itsconsumers based in the local region and the Middle East markets.
